Job Description
Our client, a leading footwear manufacturing company based in Moratuwa, is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Storekeeper. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the inventory, ensuring proper stock levels, and reporting directly to the accounts department. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient operations within the factory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and stock movements.
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of products.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Prepare and submit inventory reports to the accounts department.
- Coordinate with production and procurement teams to manage stock requirements.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety and organizational standards.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office (particularly Excel).
