Role Overview:

The Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer at Spark Global Solutions will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through meticulous testing and validation processes. This role involves working closely with the development team to identify and resolve issues, create and execute test plans, and maintain the highest standards of product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

– Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

– Execute manual and automated tests to identify software defects.

– Ensure thorough testing of all features, both new and existing, to ensure product quality.

– Identify, document, and track software defects using a defect management tool.

– Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot issues and verify defect resolutions.

– Participate in continuous improvement processes and initiatives within the QA team.

– Suggest and implement improvements to existing QA processes and methodologies.

– Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback.

– Participate in regular team meetings and provide updates on testing status and issues.

– Generate and analyse quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.

– Prepare and present reports on testing activities, defects, and overall product quality.

– Maintain and enhance automated testing frameworks and tools.

– Set up and manage test environments to ensure reliable and repeatable testing processes.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

– Minimum of 1+ years of experience in software quality assurance.

– Experience with both manual and automated testing tools and methodologies.

– Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).

– Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP, JUnit).

– Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).

– Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.

– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

– Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality.
