Job Description
- Carry out the Accounts Receivable and accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
- Reconcile Accounts Receivable (AR): Identify direct credits and ensure they are accurately recorded in the AR ledger as against the correct customer.
- Prepare Payment Vouchers: Create payment vouchers upon verification of the 3-way matching (PO, GRN, Supplier Invoice) and arrange payments accordingly.
- Preparing & sharing IOU outstanding, bank balances, supplier, and debtor outstanding reports.
- Prepare the bank balances and fund availability report.
- Manage petty cash floats as needed and maintain accurate records of petty cash transactions.
- Prepare daily cash flow reports, to monitor and manage cash flow effectively.
- Preparing monthly accounts schedules to facilitate the preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting principles.
- Enter cheque payments and petty cash voucher details to the finance system.
- Daily verify all transactions to check if they comply with the processes and internal controls.
- Generate the weekly bank reconciliation and reconcile the financial records with the bank statements.
- Manage and support the budgeting process, work closely with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
