Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the provision of Air/Ocean freight intermediary services to customers.
- Continuously enhance Air/ocean operational procedures.
- Map company process flows and review for efficiency gains.
- Grow a network of Air/Ocean carriers through service providers.
- Lead negotiation of rates and contracts with service providers for reliable solutions.
- Optimize customers’ end-to-end transportation solutions on trade lanes.
- Stay current with laws, regulations, and government requirements.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and company standards.
- Solve logistical problems in supply chain for raw materials and finished goods.
- Manage bookings and plan, highlighting issues proactively.
- Achieve financial goals by growing existing business and seizing new opportunities.
Experience:
- Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Logistics Management or related.
- Minimum 5+ years of Air/Ocean freight forwarding experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of NVOCC and special projects experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of laws, regulations, and government requirements.
- Proven ability to establish or enhance Air/Ocean operational functions.
- Results oriented with drive to grow an international Air/Ocean freight forwarding business.
- Experience in strategic planning initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with systematic problem-solving approach.
