Job Description

The Accounts Receivable Officer (Executive – Accounts) will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts receivable process. This role is crucial in ensuring the timely collection of school fees and other payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing excellent customer service to our school community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and manage incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data.
• Prepare invoices and bank deposits.
• Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Verify discrepancies and resolve billing issues.
• Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting parents or guardians.
• Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
• Assist in month-end closing procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient operations.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing/Completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or similar role.
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques.
