Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and target potential clients across various industries.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of leads through cold calling, networking, and other prospecting techniques.
- Research and understand the advertising needs of potential clients.
- Create and deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clients.
- Develop customized advertising packages and proposals that align with client goals.
- Negotiate terms and close advertising deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for advertisers, providing excellent customer service and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Understand client objectives and tailor advertising solutions to meet their needs.
- Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to closing the deal.
- Ensure timely delivery of advertising materials and liaise with the editorial and design teams to meet client expectations.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.
- Provide insights and feedback to the editorial and marketing teams to enhance the magazine’s offerings.
- Continuously seek opportunities to expand the magazine’s reach and increase advertising revenue.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in sales and marketing, preferably in a travel industry relevant role (minimum 2 years preferred).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in English; fluency in other languages (Tamil and Sinhala are advantageous).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
