Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated research assistant to join our team on the project “Evaluating the risk imposed by organic pollutants”. The primary goal of this project is to analyze, identify, and evaluate organic pollutants that disrupt the normal development and physiology of living organisms. The ideal candidate should be self-driven, proactive, and capable of working collaboratively within a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct literature reviews on the research topic/field
- Assist in the design and execution of laboratory experiments
- Analyze data and contribute to the interpretation of results
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project progress and results
- Maintain accurate and organized records of experiments and data
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Zoology or Biology with Chemistry as a subject.
- Hands-on experience with HPLC, UV-Vis, and other analytical equipment is preferred.
- Laboratory experience in research projects related to food and water analysis is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Contract Duration & Allowance
This is a full-time, six-month position, with a monthly allowance of LKR 50,00.
