Marga Institute, founded in 1972 under the Companies Act of Sri Lanka, is an independent non-profit Center for Development Studies located in Colombo. The institute focuses on conducting multidisciplinary research and studies relevant to development in Sri Lanka. Through education, training, publications, and Civil Society Forum discussions, Marga Institute disseminates its socio-economic findings to the community.
Role Description
This is a contract Research Assistant role based in Colombo. The Research Assistant will be responsible for conducting research, analyzing data, and collaborating with the team on various projects. This on-site role involves working closely with the researchers and assisting in day-to-day research activities.
Qualifications
- Analytical Skills, Research, and Data Analysis
- Strong Communication skills
- Experience or familiarity with Laboratory Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a research environment
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Development Studies, Social Sciences)
