Job Description
Company Description: Lake House – The Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd (ANCL), also known as Lake House, is Sri Lanka’s oldest publication company. It publishes a variety of publications in Sinhala, English, and Tamil, including daily, weekend, weekly, monthly, and annual publications. Lake House is known for its online presence, being the first Sri Lankan newspaper to be published online.
Role Description: This is a full-time on-site role for a Research Assistant Intern at Lake House. The intern will conduct research tasks, data analysis, assist in report preparation, and participate in laboratory work as required.
Qualifications:
- Analytical, research, and laboratory skills
- Excellent communication and data analysis skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in computer software and data analysis tools
- Experience with research methods and techniques
- Degree or pursuing a degree in a relevant field (e.g., social science, research, statistics)
- Knowledge of statistical analysis software is a plus
