Job Description
Global Manufacturing company is looking for a Research & Development manager for their cosmetics and home care products.
Responsibilities:
- Research and develop new products or engage in product re-engineering based on market research and technical briefs.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Procurement, and Production teams on new product development (NPD) and product re-engineering.
- Support other chemists in all aspects of R&D.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as needed.
- Verify production processes for pilot batches when required.
- Develop and update the Bill of Materials (BOM) based on new product developments and improvements.
- Perform competitor product analysis to enhance or develop existing product lines and new products.
- Conduct Consumer-Oriented Research and Development (CORDS) to evaluate new product developments.
Qualifications:
- Over five years of experience in formulation and packaging development for cosmetics and home care products.
- Skilled in scaling up products from development to production.
- Proficient in conducting development tests including stability, compatibility, and challenge/preservative efficacy testing.
- Holds a BSc or equivalent degree with a major in Chemistry.
