Job Description
The Marketing and Branding Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing marketing and branding strategies to promote IIT, enhance its brand image, attract students, engage stakeholders, and achieve enrollment targets. This role involves leading the team and collaborating with various departments within the institution.
Responsibilities
Develop Marketing and Branding Strategies:
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and branding strategies to enhance IIT’s visibility, reputation, and academic offerings.
Brand Positioning and Messaging:
Define and maintain the institution’s brand positioning, unique value proposition, and messaging to prospective students, parents, faculty, and stakeholders.
Ensure consistent brand messaging across all communication channels.
Student Enrollment Campaigns:
Plan and execute marketing campaigns to attract prospective students, including exhibitions, career fairs, information sessions, and targeted outreach initiatives.
Collaborate with admissions teams to enhance enrollment rates and achieve enrollment targets.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with academic departments and administrative units to align marketing efforts with academic programs, events, and institutional goals.
Engage with alumni, donors, and other stakeholders to enhance their involvement and support for the institution.
Content Development and Publications:
Supervise the creation of compelling content for various channels, including brochures, newsletters, press releases, blogs, and other marketing materials that highlight the institution’s achievements, programs, and success stories.
Ensure brand consistency and high-quality content in all publications.
Market Research and Analysis:
Conduct market research to understand trends, competitive landscapes, and target audience preferences within the higher education sector.
Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and refine marketing strategies.
Budgeting and Resource Management:
Develop and manage the marketing and branding budget, allocating resources effectively to achieve marketing goals.
Monitor expenditures and ROI to optimize budget allocation and demonstrate effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in marketing, branding, or related roles, ideally within the FMCG sector, with or without a background in education.
- In-depth understanding of higher education market dynamics, admissions processes, and academic programs.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on academic and educational content.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and analytics relevant to the education sector.
