Job Description
Akbar Brothers Group, a leading exporter of premium Ceylon Tea from Sri Lanka, is looking for a Junior Legal Officer to join their esteemed team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Protecting Intellectual Property (IP)
- Coordinating with External Counsels
- Negotiating, Drafting, and Reviewing Contracts
- Ensuring Compliance and Risk Management
- Handling Conveyancing and Notarial Work
- Coordinating with External Counsel for Litigation matters
- Overseeing Company Secretarial duties
- Providing support in various general legal matters
Prerequisites:
- Bar Admission: Must hold Attorney-at-law status
- Preferably possess a Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field with proficiency in legal documentation
- Demonstrated expertise in laws, regulations, and legal principles
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills
- High Ethical Standards and Professionalism
- Strong oral and written communication abilities
- Demonstrated Business Acumen
