Job Description
Job Purpose:
The IT Internal Audit Intern assists the internal audit team in assessing and evaluating the effectiveness of information technology controls and processes. The intern supports IT audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews to ensure that the organization’s IT systems are secure, efficient, and compliant with policies and regulations.
- Assist in planning and executing IT audits, including reviewing systems, networks, and applications.
- Perform audit tests to evaluate IT controls, such as access controls, data integrity, and cybersecurity measures.
- Document and analyze IT systems and processes to assess compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Help identify key IT risk areas and assess the impact of those risks on the organization.
- Assist in ensuring that IT operations comply with relevant regulations.
- Maintain proper documentation of audit procedures, findings, and recommendations.
- Assist in drafting audit reports to present findings and improvement suggestions to IT management.
- Help track and follow up on outstanding IT audit issues to ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in training sessions related to IT auditing tools, cybersecurity risks, and compliance frameworks.
- Stay updated on evolving technologies, cybersecurity threats, and audit methodologies.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, and should also have good communication skills in English.
