Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes within our retail operations. You will work closely with various departments to assess internal controls, conduct audits, and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks.
Responsibilities
- Conduct internal audits of retail operations to assess compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Evaluate internal controls and identify areas for improvement to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Perform risk assessments and develop audit plans to address key areas of concern within the retail environment.
- Review financial transactions, inventory management processes, and revenue recognition procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Prepare audit reports detailing findings, recommendations, and corrective actions for management review.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement audit recommendations and monitor progress towards resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably within the retail industry.
- Strong knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and auditing software.
