Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Information Technology Project Manager located in Colombo. As an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of IT projects. This includes project planning, coordination, and communication with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Project Execution and Team Management

Plan and execute end-to-end projects by managing the project team, which includes offshore members, suppliers, and customer dependencies. Oversee multiple workstreams such as System Design, Infrastructure/Data Centre Setup, Software Development, Testing, Training, Business Change Management, and Transition to Support Services.

Project Management Responsibilities

Conduct detailed planning and track tasks against a predefined schedule. Manage the project budget, ensuring financial efficiency and accountability. Organize and lead team meetings to ensure alignment and effective communication. Prepare and present regular progress reports to stakeholders. Identify, address, and resolve issues and risks associated with the project. Implement change control processes to handle adjustments in project scope, schedule, and costs. Facilitate obtaining sign-offs and agreements from all relevant parties to ensure compliance and project advancement.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

Serve as the primary local contact for the customer and other stakeholders concerning system implementation and service delivery. Maintain close contact with all stakeholders, ensuring timely follow-up and response management to maintain project momentum and stakeholder engagement.

Compliance and Governance

Adhere to governance policies regarding internal status updates and financial reporting. Ensure all project activities and outcomes are compliant with organizational standards and external regulatory requirements.
