Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Information Security Officer (ISO) located in Colombo. The ISO will be responsible for ensuring the security of our company’s information systems and data by implementing and maintaining an effective Information Security Management System (ISMS). The ISO will work closely with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to develop and implement security policies, manage security technologies, and monitor compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and implementation of the information security strategy.
• Design, implement, and manage security solutions to protect the company’s information assets.
• Conduct security risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, red and blue team activities.
• Implement and monitor security controls to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information.
• Collaborate with IT and business units to establish and maintain security standards and guidelines.
• Develop and maintain incident response plans and conduct periodic drills to ensure readiness.
• Assist and manage security incident response efforts with the SOC team, including investigation and remediation.
• Monitor security trends, threat landscapes, and industry developments to keep the enterprise’s security posture up-to-date.
• Conduct security training and awareness programs to educate employees on information security best practices.
• Assist in auditing and compliance efforts to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information security, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in a related field (either completed or in progress)
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in information security & privacy.
• Experience with security technologies such as PAM, IDS/IPS, SIEM, identity and access management, mobile device management solutions.
• Strong understanding and experience of information security management frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• High level of integrity and professional ethics.
• Relevant certifications such as CISA, CISM, or ISO 27001 are desirable
• Prior experience in the financial industry is a plus
