Job Description

Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, execution, and successful delivery of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, scope, and budget.
• Lead the design and development of innovative engineering solutions, ensuring they meet both functional and safety requirements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards across all projects. Conduct inspections and audits to maintain these standards.
• Lead and mentor the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and high performance.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement within the engineering department, incorporating industry best practices.
• Oversee budget development and management for the engineering department, focusing on resource optimization and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders such as clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Drive initiatives that integrate sustainable practices into engineering projects, aligning with corporate sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or a related discipline).
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
• 10-12 years of engineering experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership or senior management position.
• Membership in relevant engineering bodies (e.g., IESL, PE) is an advantage.
• Strong expertise in engineering project management, design principles, and industry standards.
• In-depth understanding of regulatory and safety standards, particularly within the gas and energy sector.
• Proven experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
• Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, SAP) and project management tools.
• Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
