Job Description
Fortiz Logistics International (Pvt) Ltd is a Joint venture company between Acorn Group www.acorn.lk and ASL logistics (Pvt) Ltd www.asllogistics-int.com. Fortiz is predominantly involved in the business of international Logistics and supply chain services. Fortiz is a member of independent global networks such as “Centennial Logistics Network”, “Millennium Logistics Network” and “C7” for the global coverage. Being a signatory to these networks helps to have multiple choices at single location for competitiveness. Also, the financial protection to ensure uninterrupted services. Fortiz Bill of Lading (B/L) is insured for any Errors and Omissions while the cargo is enroute to reach its destinations. Fortiz has its own office in Maldives and owners’ representatives in Thailand, Myanmar, China and Dubai thru its shareholding partners.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for overall business development to achieve the organization’s budgets and expansions
- Identify new business opportunities (new markets, new products, new business with existing clients, acquisitions, etc.)
- Lead and contribute to the organizations business growth
- Demonstrate the ability to prepare budgets and reports, and assess performance
Candidate Profile:
- Degree in Management/Marketing or professional education relevant to Marketing and Business Development
- Demonstrate good knowledge of the industry
- Has 2–3-years of experience in overseas markets
- Exhibit good presentation skills
- Background in the accounting and finance sector is preferable
- Preferably, possessing operational level experience
- Willingness to regularly travel to business meetings, site visits, work extended hours, and travel overseas
