Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate recording of day-to-day financial transactions.
- Perform month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain proper revenue and expense recognition.
- Monitor cash balances and perform cash flow forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and laws.
- Assist in budget development and financial reporting.
- Manage year-end close activities and external audit requirements.
- Implement technology solutions to improve finance operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field required.
- 5-10 years of financial management experience, nonprofit sector preferred.
- CPA certification and supervisory experience a plus.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, especially Excel.
- Sound understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
- Experience with financial management software like Sage Intacct.
- Strong data management, analysis, time management, and organizational skills.
