Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site role as a Fiber Technician at SLTS in Matara. Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing fiber optic cables and networks. Tasks also involve fiber optic splicing, testing, and troubleshooting for optimal performance. Attention to detail and safety protocols adherence are vital.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in fiber optic installation, maintenance, and repair
- Knowledge of fiber optic splicing, testing, and troubleshooting techniques
- Familiarity with fiber optic tools and equipment
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license
