Responsibilities

• Ensure that the standards set by the Group Executive Chef are met.
• Assign tasks and supervise kitchen staff on food preparation and presentation.
• Provide direction and guidance to kitchen staff.
• Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
• Assist in menu planning, budget maintenance, and price setting.
• Conduct training programs for kitchen staff.
• Inspect food items to ensure high-quality standards.
• Minimize food waste.

Prerequisites

• Diploma in culinary from a recognized Hotel School.
• Minimum two years of Executive Chef experience in a reputable hotel.
• Proficiency in Sri Lankan and Western Cuisine with focus on presentation.
• Computer literate in MS Office packages.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Residing in or around Colombo is advantageous.
