Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Meeting with clients and engineers to determine project requirements.
- Conducting site studies to determine power needs and functional requirements.
- Creating technical wiring and power layout diagrams and specifications sheets.
- Estimating required power generation and consumption needs.
- Calculating materials and equipment needed.
- Generating technical specification documents, installation guides, and user manuals.
- Ensuring electrical plans meet regulatory and safety requirements.
- Overseeing installation and construction of electrical equipment and systems.
- Inspecting and testing installed electrical systems for functionality and safety.
- Resolving electrical planning issues and developing solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical drafting, drafting design, electrical engineering, or similar field.
- Minimum of two years’ experience as an electrical drafter.
- American Design Drafting Association (ADDA) certification preferred.
- Proficiency with CAD software like AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks.
- Strong understanding of electrical generation and transmission systems.
- Knowledge of electrical safety regulations, building codes, and health standards.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, and managerial skills.
- Ability to stay updated on latest electrical systems developments and best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaborative abilities.
