Job Description

Job Summary:

The Deputy CFO will support the CFO in managing the financial actions of Gaia Green Energy Holdings Pvt Ltd. This role involves handling financial planning, reporting, cash flow management, and strategic financial initiatives. The Deputy CFO will also oversee the finance team, ensuring accurate financial data and compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Assist in preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Oversee daily cash management and forecasting.
  • Manage liquidity to meet the company’s operational and strategic needs.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Coordinate the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance against budgets.

Financial Operations:

  • Monitor warehouse inventory regularly
  • Work along with the Procurement team and the operations team and plan resource requirements regularly
  • Monitor operational efficiencies within finance functions in provincial operations and Head office
  • Continuous process improvements, automation and optimization

Internal Controls and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets.

Team Leadership:

  • Mentor and develop the finance team.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance department.

Strategic Planning:

  • Support the CFO in financial strategy and long-term planning.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support business growth and expansion.

Relationship Management:

  • Maintain relationships with banks, investors, and other financial stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align financial management with company goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Qualified in CA, ACCA, CIMA
  • Proven experience in a senior financial management role, with over 10 years of experience. A background in an audit firm is a distinct advantage.
  • Prior experience in managing larger teams
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
