Job Description

Designation: Assistant Warehouse Manager

Location: Colombo

Key Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise, and assign tasks to warehouse employees.
• Manage the entire warehouse cycle including receiving, inventory control, monitoring, scheduling, and order fulfillment.
• Work closely with truck drivers, dispatchers, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Maintain accurate receiving and inventory data in the ERP system.
• Prepare and check reports, schedules, invoices, and other warehouse documentation.
• Address and resolve issues related to quantity, pricing, and quality.
• Maintain equipment and facilities, and report repair needs to the Warehouse Manager.

Key Requirements

• A degree or professional qualification in a relevant field.
• 5-8 years of experience in warehouse management.
• Proficient in working with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster effective team-building.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Knowledge and involvement in executing lean management, ISO standards, and 5S principles will be an added advantage.
