Job Description

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accountancy/ Finance/ Commerce and full/ part qualifications in CASL/ CIMA/ ACCA. A minimum of 02 years experience in a similar capacity within an audit firm/ mercantile sector is required. Analytical, problem-solving, communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and presentation skills are key attributes and competencies sought.

The selected individual will report to the Group’s Internal Audit division and should be able to travel overseas for extended periods of time on a frequent basis.

Main Duties and responsibilities include;

  • Conducting operational/ financial audits for the Hotel Sector
  • Carrying out Special assignments/ investigations/ due diligence as requested by management
  • Assisting in drafting system notes, flow charts, and reports related to audits/ assignments
  • Designing the program for audits/ assignments/ investigations
  • Carrying out physical verification of inventories, cash, and fixed assets
  • Reviewing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Hotels Sector
  • Supporting IT security reviews of front/back-end operating systems in the Hotels Sector
  • Evaluating internal controls, identifying weaknesses, and recommending improvements
  • Conducting training programs for the Hotels Sector staff
