Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Director, Procurement, to join Cinnamon Life In the much anticipated 1 billion USD project, opening in late 2024. Cinnamon Life Integrated Resort is a part of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, Sri Lanka’s largest Hotel owner with a portfolio of 15 Hotels and Resorts in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. It is a member of John Keells Holdings PLC, one of the largest listed conglomerates in Sri Lanka.

In this role as the Assistant Director, Procurement, you will function with a primary focus on overseeing the entire procurement function of the Food and Beverage items required for the hotel operation while developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and efficiency in sourcing food and beverage products. With your industry experience, you will establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and conditions.

The Assistant Director, Procurement will closely collaborate with Heads of Departments, Central Purchasing team, and relevant government authorities and agencies to obtain all necessary clearances and duty concessions to procure the required Food & Beverage items with a focus on compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including food safety and sustainability requirements. In this role, you will work closely with the rest of the procurement team to manage day-to-day operations and oversee inventory management processes to minimize waste and maintain appropriate stock levels.

With your dedication and expertise in this role, you will contribute to maintaining a well-coordinated and streamlined receiving process, ensuring that the resort continues to uphold its commitment to excellence in all aspects of operations.
