Job Description

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as an Assistant Accountant at Abans Group. The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks, financial reporting, assisting with audits, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for handling petty cash, making supplier, utility, and other payments according to credit periods while preparing monthly accounts, bank reconciliations, and other reconciliations
• Prepares monthly accounts and reconciliations on time and maintains fixed asset registers properly
• Prepares VAT, stamp duty, and other statutory payments on time, arranges payments and filing of returns, and prepares schedules
• Furnish adhoc reports on time and accurately as required

Qualifications / Experience

• Degree in Finance/ Accounting from a recognized university/ institute
• Part qualified professional level of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
• Minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar capacity
• Six months experience as an Internal Auditor at Group of Risk and Control would be an added advantage
