Role Description
This is a contract Agriculture Specialist role based in Colombo. As an Agriculture Specialist at Alakamandawa plantation, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing agricultural operations. This includes planning and implementing farming strategies, monitoring crop health and growth, conducting soil and water analysis, and ensuring compliance with agricultural regulations. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize crop yields and drive sustainable farming practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Plant Science, or related field
- Proven experience in agricultural management
- Strong knowledge of crop cultivation techniques, soil management, and pest control
- Experience with agricultural machinery and equipment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Understanding of sustainable farming practices
- Ability to adapt to changing agricultural trends and technologies
