Job Description
The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and supervision of financial statements, variance reports and other management reports
- Timely closure of monthly accounts and presentation to the Management
- Timely submission of statutory payment/reports and ensure compliance with statutory requirements
- Check and authorize bank reconciliation and control accounts
- Tax planning and compliance with tax regulations
- Attending the stock count along with Finance and operations team
- Check and approve day to day payments
- Ensure proper maintenance of records documents
Qualifications
- A candidate residing near Kurunegala, Pannala, or Negombo
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or a professional qualification such as CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, or ACCA
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Accountant in manufacturing industry
- Computer literacy in advanced MS Excel and Word
- Understanding of Accounting principles, taxation, product costing, investment appraisal and statutory requirements
- Hands-on working experience in ERP system especially SAP – B1
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
