Job Description

Immediate Vacancy

The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and supervision of financial statements, variance reports, and other management reports
• Timely closure of monthly accounts and presentation to the Management
• Timely submission of statutory payment/reports and ensure compliance with statutory requirements
• Check and authorize bank reconciliation and control accounts
• Tax planning and compliance with tax regulations
• Attending the stock count along with Finance and operations team
• Check and approve day-to-day payments
• Ensure proper maintenance of records documents

Qualifications

• A candidate residing in close proximity to Kurunegala, Pannala, or Negombo
• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized university, or a professional qualification such as CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, or ACCA
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Accountant in a manufacturing industry
• Computer literacy in advanced MS Excel and Word
• Understanding of Accounting principles, taxation, product costing, investment appraisal, and statutory requirements
• Hands-on working experience in ERP systems especially SAP – B1
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
