Job Description
The Job
- Channel Fault identification & rectification in minimum downtime
- Check & adjust audio levels, picture quality, and video synchronization on channels
- Channel blocking – by slide or color bars on request
- Perform High-Power Amplifier (HPA) readings and network failure troubleshooting
- Execute fingerprinting on scheduled channel provider request
- Insert crawler to channel upon request
- Inquire DBN NOC/TAC for channel failure
- Troubleshoot Mobile Streaming Server issues on request
- Coordinate with DTV business development unit for international channel problems
- Replace Faulty Integrated Receiver Decoder (IRD) and Audio Video Processing Card (IQ) card
- Inform on faulty IVG, Encoders, and other transmission equipment
- Get advice on STB error messages and SIM card failures
- Prepare monthly downtime reports
- Provide DTH network downtime reports and other relevant reports as needed
The Person should have at least one of the following qualifications:
- NVQ Level-5 / IVQ Level-5
- City & Guilds Advanced Diploma
- HNDE – Higher National Diploma in Engineering
- NDT
- National Diploma in Engineering Sciences – NDES
- Diploma in Technology (OUSL)
- Advance Diploma in Telecommunication Technology
- Advance Diploma in Information & Communication Technology
- Advance Diploma in Information Technology
- Advance Diploma in Construction Technology
- National Diploma in Engineering Technology
