Job Description
Job Title: Content Creator
Reporting to: Editor-in-Chief
Location: At our Office in Colombo 05
Mode of Operation: On-site
Salary: Attractive salary package commensurate with experience
Commonwealth Union is looking for content creators to generate editorial content for its digital platform. If you have a background in journalism or content creation, especially in an online setting, seize this opportunity to be part of our team.
Responsibilities
- Produce original, well-researched articles on assigned topics.
- Create scripts for video content on www.commonwealthunion.com and social media.
- Conduct interviews with key figures across the Commonwealth under guidance.
- Perform other tasks delegated by the Editor-in-Chief.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in journalism, English, communications preferred.
- Two years of professional writing experience.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills.
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; SEO knowledge is a plus.
