Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and other required items
- Negotiate contracts, prices, and payment terms with local and international suppliers
- Execute purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production team to avoid stock shortages
- Ensure all procured items meet the company’s quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements
- Manage procurement budgets and track expenses to meet cost-saving targets
- Continuously assess supplier performance and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain procurement records for audits and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the food manufacturing or export industry
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of import/export documentation and regulations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines
- Familiarity with food safety and quality standards (e.g., ISO, HACCP) is desirable
