Job Description

Oceanpick is based in the East Coast of Sri Lanka and manages the only offshore fish farm in South Asia and is one of the largest in the Region. We are an export-oriented, BOI Company and have been in operation for over 10 years.

THE CHOSEN CANDIDATE WILL:

• Oversee marine finfish hatcheries, including broodstock management, incubation, nursery operations, and live feed production.
• Design and establish new hatchery and nursery facilities.
• Develop and implement production plans, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
• Monitor project timelines and ensure task completion within set deadlines.
• Provide regular reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• A bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in aquaculture or a related field (or equivalent qualifications).
• At least 5 years of proven managerial experience in marine finfish hatcheries.
• Expertise in broodstock management, larval rearing, and nursery operations.
• Knowledge of any species among Seabream, Red Porgy, Grouper, Snapper, and Barramundi will have an added advantage.
• Strong command of English (oral and written communication).

Work Location

– The position is based in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka, with occasional requirements to work in other locations.
