Job Description
Position: Assistant Accountant
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Assistant Accountant to manage financial operations, taxation, and reporting. This is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career with a dynamic organization
Responsibilities
- Handle daily accounting tasks and prepare monthly financial statements.
- Manage inventory and trading accounts.
- Oversee all taxation matters, including VAT, SVAT, and other taxes.
- Maintain cash flow and support daily financial operations.
- Prepare management accounts, analyze budgets, and company overheads.
Requirements
- Fully or partly qualified in CA.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role with a single employer.
- Expertise in account finalization and monthly accounts preparation.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage 300 preferred) and MS Office.
- Strong knowledge of SLFRS and Sri Lankan taxation.
- Prior experience in a recognized audit firm is an added advantage.
- Ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
