Job Description
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of web technologies (e.g., HTTP, RESTful APIs, HTML, JavaScript) and security concepts.
- Familiarity with common web vulnerabilities and the OWASP Top 10.
- Experience with security tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, or similar is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- A passion for cybersecurity and a keen interest in learning about API and web application security.
Key Responsibilities:
- API Security: Assist in analyzing, testing, and securing APIs to prevent vulnerabilities.
- Web Application Security: Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in web applications.
- Penetration Testing: Conduct tests to find and improve security weaknesses.
- Security Tools: Use tools to scan and monitor web applications for threats.
- Collaborate with Developers: Ensure security best practices in software development.
- Documentation: Contribute to creating security guidelines and documentation.
