Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Professional to join our client’s team. If you’re passionate about financial management and have experience in the commercial sector, this role could be perfect for you.
Designation: Accountant
Location: Colombo
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Maintain general ledger & reconcile accounts on ERP system
- Ensure compliance with local laws and standards (Accounting Standards, Taxation, SEC, Labour Laws)
- Manage assets, liabilities & optimize shareholder value
- Oversee working capital, stock verification & cashiering functions
- Develop internal control procedures & prepare management reports
- Liaise with external auditors for statutory audits
Key Requirements:
- Associate membership with CA Sri Lanka / ACCA
- At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in the commercial sector
- Strong knowledge of taxation, IFRS, and tax planning
- Proficiency in MS Office, accounting software, and data analysis tools
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
