Megakem Lanka (Private) Limited, a leading manufacturer of Construction Chemicals & Materials, is seeking a Purchasing Officer to oversee foreign procurement activities. Responsibilities include sourcing raw materials, managing imports, and maintaining supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee foreign purchasing activities and raw material procurement.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective material sourcing from international suppliers.
- Coordinate import process, logistics, and customs clearance.
- Develop relationships with global suppliers for best pricing.
- Monitor stock levels and collaborate for uninterrupted production supply.
- Prepare purchase orders and monitor market trends for strategic purchasing.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of foreign purchasing experience.
- Knowledge of international trade, shipping procedures, and negotiation skills.
- Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office.
