Job Description
Company Description: JB Law Chambers is a legal practice in Colombo, founded and led by Mr. Janaka Basuriya. Specializing in commercial arbitration, money recovery, debt recovery, commercial law, intellectual property law, and contract drafting.
Role Description: The Junior Counsel will assist in legal research, drafting legal documents, client consultations, case preparation, attending court proceedings, managing case files, and supporting various legal tasks under supervision.
Qualifications:
- Attorney-at-Law with less than 3 years experience
- Legal Research, Legal Writing, and Document Drafting skills
- Knowledge of commercial law, intellectual property law, and contract law
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skill
- Experience in a legal setting or internship is a plus
