Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for new product development, improvement of existing products, and cost reduction initiatives
- Lead and manage a team of R&D professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance evaluations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize research and development projects
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and competitive landscape
- Manage product development process from concept to launch
- Oversee product specifications, formulations, and production processes
- Analyze product performance and recommend improvements
- Ensure compliance with regulations and standards
- Develop and manage R&D budgets effectively
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field. Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in food product development, with 2 years in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of food science, processing, and safety regulations
- Proven track record of launching new products and improving existing ones
- Experience managing and developing R&D teams
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative environment
