Role Description:

This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Accountant at Trident Distributors Private Limited in Colombo. The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for various financial tasks in support of the finance team.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating accounting functions and programs.
• Preparing financial analyses and reports.
• Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets.
• Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Assisting with annual audit preparations.
• Investigating and resolving audit findings and account discrepancies.
• Contributing to the development of accounting systems and procedures.
• Assist with HR and Payroll functions of the company.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years’ of professional accounting experience
• Part Qualification ACCA, CIMA, CA
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Working knowledge of local tax laws.
• Experience with leading accounting software systems.
• Ability to train and manage staff and work independently.
