Job Description

The Job:

• Support Senior Accountants in year-end closing processes, including preparation of adjustment journals and financial statements.
• Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Provide expert advice and solutions on complex GST issues, including input tax credits, GST adjustments, and compliance requirements.
• Assist with Div 7A compliance and calculations, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with tax laws.
• Manage CGT calculations, including asset disposals, exemptions, and concessions.
• Handle FBT compliance, including preparation of returns.
• Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to resolve accounting and taxation issues efficiently and professionally.

Requirements:

• 2 to 4 years of Australian Accounting experience primarily in financial preparation and tax returns.
• Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, and other accounting systems.
• Degree in accounting or related field. CA/CPA/CIM qualifications are advantageous.
• Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
• Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proactive problem solver with a positive attitude.
• Detail-oriented and dedicated to exceptional client service.
• Strong collaborative skills with a solid work ethic.
