Job Description
Our company, Meridian Navigation Pvt Ltd, is experiencing rapid growth and is currently seeking an experienced candidate for the position of Senior Executive in Freight Forwarding.
Responsibilities:
- Organizing the shipment of goods
- Negotiating terms with carriers, booking cargo space, and making payments
- Supporting Customer Service/Pricing and collaborating with Operations and Documentation
- Managing customers in relation to Import/Export operations and shipment details
- Handling customs clearance procedures, transport documents, and insurance paperwork
- Tracking and updating shipment status with clients in real-time
- Ensuring timely delivery of shipments
- Resolving issues such as discrepancies, delays, and customs release
- Project planning and execution with on-ground supervision
- Coordinating various modes of transport
- Delivering excellent customer service and identifying upselling opportunities
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics and supply chain with a solid understanding of Freight Forwarding
- Customer-oriented, independent team player with excellent communication and commercial skills
- Professional demeanor and conduct
- A Bachelor’s degree in logistics or transportation is an added advantage
