Job Description
Responsibilities
– Review the performance indicators (API, PPI and KPIs) in structured review meetings and drive daily actions towards objectives.
– Assist the team in planning and developing respective categories.
– Forecast seasonal demands for products and place orders on time.
– Negotiate with suppliers to get the best price and favorable credit period.
– Maintain understanding of current market prices, forecast price, and sales trends.
– Monitor and manage supplier performance, compare with competitors for best prices.
– Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and important data.
– Plan and implement promotions, develop new purchasing strategies to reduce costs.
– Develop an efficient supply chain, monitor inventory, and assist in increasing growth.
– Collaborate with marketing, CPU, and Accounts departments for smooth operations.
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, economics, or related field.
– 5-8 years of experience in procurement, with retail or FMCG experience.
– Knowledge gained from over 5 years of experience in retail or FMCG.
– Excellent analytical skills.
