Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Check approved PRs and liaise with SBU to identify the requirements.
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of products in the assigned category.
- Ensure appropriate approvals are obtained for purchases.
- Obtain quotations and prepare comparisons, seeking required approvals.
- Negotiate with suppliers for favorable terms.
- Raise purchase orders, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery.
- Attend trade shows and other events as needed.
- Undertake additional duties as requested by the Senior Buyer.
Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or related field.
- 3-4 years of professional experience in purchasing or supply chain management.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines with limited supervision.
