Job Description
The ideal candidate should hold a degree in Accounting or Finance and possess a full qualification from recognized professional accounting bodies such as CA, ACCA, CIMA, or their equivalent. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar capacity is required for this role, with prior experience in the hospitality industry considered an added advantage. Strong technical, analytical, coordination, and interpersonal skills are key attributes and competencies that we are looking for.
Key Qualifications and Responsibilities:
- Ability to manage and coordinate day-to-day operation of the Finance department and coordinate with other department heads of the property to ensure smooth operation where overall property targets are achieved.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and team management skills.
- Studying existing processes procedures and controls and implementing necessary changes while monitoring internal controls and systems of the functions. Identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Preparation of monthly MIS, financial statements, and Annual Budgets and reforecasts.
- Liaising with Group Internal Auditors and external auditors, and other regulatory institutions.
- Review monthly VAT calculations and all other statutory payments, ensuring accuracy, and arrange timely payments to meet regulatory deadlines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, contributing to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the finance department including, train and develop the finance team members where necessary.
- Knowledge in OPERA and Oracle finance is an added advantage.
