Job Description
A Leading UK Company based in Colombo is seeking a Development Merchandiser to optimize resources, meet sample deadlines, and ensure competitive prices.
Responsibilities:
- Study design sketches, finalize sample processes, and meet critical deadlines.
- Conduct progress meetings with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Follow sample critical path from Raw Materials to outsourcing processes.
- Negotiate pricing to meet customer target prices.
- Plan time efficiently and communicate effectively.
- Identify key areas of concern and take corrective actions.
- Coordinate with outsourced operations such as washing/printing/embroidery.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in product development merchandising.
- Knowledge of apparel industry, products, and excellent communication skills.
- Degree or diploma in a relevant field preferred.
- Previous multicultural environment experience is a plus.
- Command of written and spoken English; Lingerie experience a bonus.
- Client relationship management and negotiation skills.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and PC literacy.
