Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Deputy Manager, Payroll to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of payroll processing and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a thorough understanding of payroll systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the end-to-end payroll process for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Maintain and update payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports and summaries.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate employee data and records.
  • Manage payroll-related audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Identify and implement improvements to payroll processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to the payroll team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or in a similar role, with at least 4 years of experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., MIHCM, LeanMore) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
