Job Description
ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Our client is a leading local conglomerate with diversified interests and this position is in the Corporate Office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Data Protection framework for the Group including policies and procedures as well as strategies to drive a security-awareness culture
- Identify, assess, and prioritize data risks in operational processes, information systems, and data storages. Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities, threats, and gaps in data generations
- Develop and maintain a data catalogue or dictionary for all the data generated, processed, and stored across the group
- Create mechanisms to monitor data flows and information storages in the Group to achieve sustainable compliance
- Act as the contact point and the relevant supervisory authority for the data subjects of the Group
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in Data Protection, Information Security, Computer Science, or equivalent qualification from a recognized university
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CRISC) in the field would be an added advantage
- 5-10 years’ experience in Data protection, risk management, or information security including at least 2 years’ experience in a managerial position
- Strong knowledge on Data Governance and Protection frameworks, Data Protection Laws, risk assessment methodologies, and compliance reporting
- Excellent leadership skills coupled with strong presentation and communication skills
