Job Description
We are a recruitment company based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and we are currently looking for a Assistant Manager – Tax and Treasury for one of the reputed companies in Sri Lanka.
Job Role
- Oversee and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations, including the preparation and filing of tax returns and reports.
- Assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies to optimize tax liabilities and enhance financial performance.
- Manage daily treasury operations, including cash flow management, liquidity planning, and the execution of financial transactions to ensure the company’s financial stability.
- Prepare and analyze tax and treasury reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making.
- Coordinate with external auditors during tax audits, and develop and maintain internal controls to mitigate financial risks related to tax and treasury activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; a professional certification such as ACCA, CIMA,CMA or similar is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in tax compliance, tax planning, and treasury operations, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles, as well as proficiency in financial analysis and treasury management tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to address complex tax and treasury issues effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage external auditors, and provide clear financial insights to senior management.
