Job Description

We’re a leading recruitment company in Sri Lanka and looking for an Assistant Manager/Manager Planning for a Textile/Apparel company located in Biyagama. The Manager/Assistant Manager Planning will be responsible for overseeing the planning and scheduling of production activities to ensure optimal use of resources and timely delivery of products. This role involves collaborating with various departments, including production, procurement, and logistics, to align production plans with market demands and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement production planning strategies to meet business goals.
• Create and manage production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Analyze demand forecasts and adjust production plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with production, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Identify and address potential production issues to minimize disruptions.
• Optimize resource utilization, including manpower, machinery, and materials.
• Prepare and present regular reports on production performance and planning metrics.
• Lead and mentor the planning team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Textile Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning within the textile industry.
• Strong understanding of production processes, supply chain management, and inventory control.
• Proficient in planning software and tools, such as ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
